  • Re: China and India

The most detailed data that UN Comtrade offers is the combination of: reporter, partner, commodity (up to 6 digits), year and trade flow. If you need to find more detailed information such as port of entry/exit or traders, you should contact Customs Department directly.

Because of globalization, more and more goods are processed (minor or major) in different countries resulting in the increase of re-exports and re-imports. Point no.4 is correct to mention that there is ...

  • Re: uneven codes for iran's export data

Could you please post the selection criteria too? The codes that you mentioned are all 5 digits and HS do not have 5 digit codes. t Normally, if you open the text file in Excel, sometime, it truncates number zero, because it tries to converts them into number. Try to open the text file in text editor (notepad), you should see the original number.

  • South African Apricot 2007

A Trade Map user has pointed out that South Africa's export quantities for apricot (HS 080910) looks too big in 2007 and he is right. This outlier quantity has also been taken into account in theaggregates at 4 and 2-digit level. I have checked the COMTRADE data and I have found the same quantities.
